Ok this will be my long long longgggg entry. Bare in mind k.It took me days to complete this entry and to flashback this experience kan. Nk kene ingat satu2 balik.

Same like other mothers out there, i pon nak gak la share my delivery experience. Mcm biasa la kan, not all birth experiences are smooth sailing and nice kan? My birth experience was not as my expectation. I considered as my nightmare experience.

Yes, people can say bersalin tu senang. Tapi tak sumer akan dapat kesenangan kan? So jom baca my experience plakkan.

I've been tested twice by Allah on my pregnancy. I miscarried twice. And Alhamdulillah i managed to go thru all of this tests and Alhamdulillah my 3rd pregnancy was successful! But throughout the pregnancy journey was not easy. First trimester i had to stay on bed for 2 months because of my pregnancy symptoms. Disaster!!! I couldn't work. Tak bole tgk monitor ok. Mesti mual and muntah2 teruk.I tried to go to work but totally flat and esok nye kene cont MC weeks by weeks. Kalo doc2 kt sini panggil 'hyperem'. Ni mmg tahap plg teruk la. Sampai i x puasa sebulan ok. FYI, I've lost 8kgs because of severe vomitting pastu makan nasi 1 sudu kecil sahaja. ni tahap muntah kuar acid dlm perut tu kaler ijau2. then kalo try makan kompem muntah balik yg stok sampai kuar kot hidung klo try tahan muntah. Ada paham cmne teruk nye my situation that time. Sampai my OB kata selagi berat x naik xbole keje. haa sampai camtu sekali. Tu yang bile pegi jumpe my OB pakai baju yg berat2 supaya nampak berat naik.hahaha.
The next morning, the midwives checked again. (selok2 lagi). This time dah 2.5cm bukak nye. They called my OB and then my OB soh masuk labour room dah. Time tu kene cucuk kt bons bons ubat bg berak...sibbaik terus bangun n turun pas kene cucuk tu...punye la tak tahan nk terkeluar dah. Lps tu turun ke labour room.

Then, kene la dok kt situ sambil tunggu doc x sampai2 lagi. Bila doc sampai jek doc nk pecahkn my air ketuban. My God!!! Sangat sakit hokeh!. Tahan jek la. Pastu mmg dh kene drip dah. CTG bagai sumer dah siap pasang nk make sure baby's heart beat ok. My contraction even worse but i managed to control la just uncomfortable je. Then, midwives ke my OB dah tak ingat dah dtg lg selok2. Baru 3cm. Tunggu lagi. Midwives dok paksa amek epidural or injection. I takmo. Pastu dia soh ngiring. I dah x bole gerak dah cmne nk ngiring. Rasa nk pang je midwives ni tau. Grrrr...So tunggu la lagi..

At 12pm, doc dtg lagi checked. Dh 5cm..Happy la sikit kan. But doc ckp lmbt sgt progress ni doc soh amek injection. So, redha je la amek injection. Lps amek injection dh x rasa sakit sgt. Itry ngiring and tido. My hubby and my mom gilir2 teman. I pasang mps Quran and sambil2 selawat, zikir. At 6pm cmtu rasa nye, doc or midwives checked again still 5cm xmo bukak dah. Doc bagi last chance sampai 8pm klo x bukak kene terus emergency C-sect. I dah rasa x best dah ni. Contraction dh mcm bukak 10cm. Habis tangan hubby i kene cakar sume kan. Yang paling best dia ajar breathing technique salah i plak yg kene ajar dia balik. Mana x stress time tu.

Final call, 8pm doc checked still x bukak2 lagi dah. Maintain 5cm jek so doc dh soh masuk OT dah sbb dh 12hours lps air ketuban pecah. Doc xmo risk baby lg. I dah nangis2 dah ni. My parents calmed me down. The nurses prepared me for the operation. Then they brought me to the OT. Masa otw tu OT room mmg sempat jumpe my parents. Hubby i tgh bersiap pakai baju OT gak.

Pastu dh siap2 sume nak operate, tetiba badan i x kebas lg. Bole rasa dok hiris kulitku! I pon jerit la sakit!!!! Then, dorg terus bagi i gas pengsan! I dah xsedar apa. After 20minutes cmtu kot, I sedar2 masa tu dorang tgh bawak i ke ward. Masa tu i asked my hubby to call Kak Sue to help me on breastfeeding and bring extra EBM for my baby just in case i nye susu x keluar lagi. So, bile dah sampai ward they transfered me ke katil dalam ward and that time i mcm kesejukan menggigil x hingat maybe sbb baru sedar n kt dlm OT kan sejuk gaban plus kesan bius. i kene selubung berlapi-lapis selimut. Then after dah setel sumer, baru la i dapat jumpe my baby and masa tu Kak Sue pon dah ada terus dia ajar cmne nk breastfeed baby. See my baby. His birth weight was 3.99kg! And i dapat tau drpd doc my baby xdapat nk kuar normally because his umbilical cord dah tersangkut kt bahu dia and dia mengiring so thats why la opening stopped at 5cm. So i redha je la dengan ketentuan-Nya.

Anytime soon!!! :D

Ok, i'm entering 38 weeks today. Dah nampak and rasa baby dah turun ke bawah. Even jalan pon dah sakit bawah ni. Baby as usual super active. Suke la nak tendang mommy nye sampai terkejut aku jadinye...haha.

Ohhh...last week check up baby dah 3.5kg!!!! i could not expect anything...Just go with the flow saja. Yang pasti hidung nya follow daddy nya :D

Your baby is now ready to greet the world. At this point, the average full-term newborn is still building a layer of fat to help control body temperature after birth. Most babies are between 2.7 and 4.3kg / 6 and 9 1/2lb at birth, and boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls. All your baby's organs are developed and in place though his lungs will be the last to reach full maturity.

Ye ye daddy nya yang x sesabo soh anakanda kuar cecepat....aduhaiii sabar ye bapak nye...Baby nk tunggu Dragon Year la daddy.

Ni mommy nye yang dok bawak ke hulu ke hilir ni....apa dah jadi this week?

You may be feeling huge and uncomfortable during these final weeks. Try to take it easy - this may be your last opportunity to do so for quite a while. See a film, read a book that has nothing to do with pregnancy or babies, have your hair or nails done, or just spend time with your husband. Neither of you will have much time for cooking in the few weeks after your baby's born, but you could prepare some home-made frozen meals to enjoy when you need them. What else can you do? Make sure the car's filled up with petrol, and read our fun baby star signs.

Your husband should try to relax, too, and enjoy some activities there won't be time for after the baby arrives. Suggest some inspirational reading - he may need it when you go into labour.

Don't panic if you feel electric buzzes down your legs and inside your vagina. Baby has simply stumbled on yet another way to grab your attention -- this time, he's bumping against nerves in your pelvis.

So far, mommy nye go with flow saja. Dah malas nk pk apa dah. BH contractions dh start ada byk kali but Alhamdulillah i managed to handle these contractions. Just have to relax and go with the flow.

Preparation plak almost everything dh ok just a few things nak kene beli especially on BF thingy. Tu i byk pk sikit lagi2 kes budak mati tersedak tu...aduhaiiii nak kene cari method to solve it. At least, kite dah buat yang terbaik untuk anak...Selebih nya kite saman saja la nursery tu nanti. :D

Hospital bag pon dah ready letak dalam keta since i still keje till today. Next week cuti 3 hari then after that not sure what will happen. So, pape barang dah ada dlm keta just nk tmbh2 kan saja.

My nesting instinct so far cam xnmpk lg so kite tgk la nnti bile yerkkk :D

Dok opis pon today x ramai yang keje so relax la jugak ni...ok la yer...have fun!
Sorry for being hiatus recently.

Alhamdulillah I'm full term now. So, waiting for the baby to come out anytime! hehe.

Let's see the progress...

Your baby weighs close to 6.5 pounds / 2.8 kilograms and may be about 20 inches / 50 centimetres long from head to toe. Your baby's head is now cradled in your pelvic cavity - surrounded and protected by your pelvic bones. This position clears some much-needed space for her growing legs and buttocks.

Many babies now have a full head of hair, with locks maybe around one inch / 2.5 centimetres long. Of course, some babies don't have any hair at all.

Speaking of hair, most of the downy coat of lanugo that covered your baby from 26 weeks has disappeared, and so has most of the vernix caseosa, the whitish substance that also covers her. Your baby will swallow her lanugo and exterior coating, along with other secretions, and store them in her bowels. These will become your infant's first bowel movement, a blackish waste called meconium.

Around now many women start worrying about whether they will know if they are in labour. Look no further than our labour and birth section.

Hmmm....how about me??

The next couple of weeks are a waiting game. Try to enjoy this time before the baby arrives - eat well and get plenty of rest. If you need help to conquer the late pregnancy blues, you can always look ahead and find out what your newborn will be like.

I feel super HUGE!!!! And HEAVY!!!!

Can you imagine inside my tummy is the watermelon size?? Like this

Lately i have problem sleeping on my bed. Now, i sleep on the recliner sofa because i totally cannot lay back or lay on my side on the bed. I'll have the pelvic pain if i sleep or resting on the bed and caused me cannot sit, stand and walk. Even i can't sleep well on the bed anymore. That's why we have to buy a recliner sofa for me. And now Alhamdulillah I can sleep soundly though sometimes i need to wake up for pee pee and so on. But so far so good. No more pelvic pain.

However, these few days I started to get the Braxton Hicks. Cuak jugak la kan. One time masa on the way to office. Luckily after i walked out from the car it disappeared. But still feel the uncomfortable feelings. And it happened again on Thursday night when i was sleeping. I felt the pain and the urge to pee pee and poo poo. But then, after i sat straight the pain went away. So, i decided to continue sleeping instead of going to toilet. Alhamdulillah of all Braxton Hicks i faced, no bleeding or discharge. So i'm sure this is only a practice for me for the real labor!

I'm not sure when it'll be happened again because these weekends my cousins' wedding and i have to attend! Dilema jadinyerrrrrrr.

Now, i'm entering 33 weeks of my pregnancy. Time flies so fast! Hope the progress of my baby is very good since he's super active as usually and kinda helpful when i asked him something to help from inside. Haha.

Let's see what's the progress should be in this week.

Your Baby in Week 33 of Pregnancy
Your baby is still gaining weight (about half a pound a week), and she could grow up to another full inch this week. With that much baby inside your uterus, your amniotic-fluid level has maxed out, which explains why some of her pokes and kicks feel pretty sharp these days. (There's less fluid to cushion the blows.) Antibodies are being passed from you to your little one as she continues to develop her own fetal immune system, which will come in handy once she's outside the womb and fending off all sorts of germs.

Your Body in Week 33 of Pregnancy
With midnight bathroom runs, leg cramps, heartburn, and your basketball-sized belly, it's no wonder sleep is elusive. Third-trimester insomnia strikes about three-quarters of pregnant women (who may also be coping with a mind that races all night long thinking about your to-do-before-the-baby-comes list). But your body needs rest, so do your best to get comfy — before bed and when you get in it. Grab a pile of pillows, wedge them where you need to, and look on the bright side: Pregnancy insomnia is great training for those sleepless nights to come!

Ok, such a good progress. I'm now also feel heavier. It's like a honeydew is put inside me and you have to bring everywhere without holding it! Haha

Hmm, how about the symptoms for this week eh? Let's see...

Week 33 Pregnancy Symptoms
Stronger fetal activity: You can test for fetal movement twice a day — in the morning and evening. Check the clock and start counting every wiggle, roll, kick, or flutter until you reach ten. If by the end of the hour you haven’t felt at least ten, have a snack or some juice, lie down, and resume counting. (Your baby just may have needed an energy-boost, too!) - my baby is super active! no doubt about him.

Occasional headaches: Third-trimester fatigue can sometimes trigger headaches now, so make sure you’re getting plenty of rest. But try not to make up for loss of sleep by napping too much during the weekends — oversleeping can lead to headaches, too. - so far Alhamdulillah i'm ok no headaches. :)

Varicose veins: Sure they’re ugly (and sometimes painful), but if you’re worried that your varicose veins can be harmful too, you can relax. The good news? If you didn’t have them before you got pregnant, they’ll disappear soon after you give birth. - yeah!! my new BFF for now :|

Lower abdominal achiness: If your belly is aching when you change positions or get up suddenly, you could be suffering from round ligament pain (or growing pains). As long as it’s occasional and you don’t have fever, chills, or bleeding along with it, there’s nothing to worry about. Getting off your feet (and getting comfy) helps. - Yup. Always happened especially if lay down on the bed but without any bleeding and so on just the pain and burning sensation only.

Nail changes: Pregnancy hormones can make nails grow faster but can also cause them to become brittle. If your nails are brittle, try getting lots of biotin in your diet (stock up on bananas, avocados, nuts, and whole grains) and try gelatin capsules, which are safe in pregnancy. - this happened since i was in 5 months pregnancy. Have to cut twice a week.

Protruding navel: Your belly button may have popped by. Is there anything you can do about it? Not really — but it will pop back in a few months after you deliver. - Alhamdulillah my naval did not popped out. Touch wood!

Shortness of breath: That burgeoning belly is pushing anything out of its way — including your lungs, which can’t fully expand. It’s more uncomfortable for you than it is for your baby, who is getting the oxygen she needs from the placenta. What helps? Standing as straight as you can so that your lungs have a little more room. - Of course! I even cannot sleep at night because of this when i sleep on my bed but when on the recliner sofa i'm ok.

Increasing clumsiness: A bigger belly means a shift in your center of gravity and that can spell clumsiness. What to do about it? Slow down and take it easy — rushing will only make you clumsier. - Sometimes

Forgetfulness: That foggy brain could be caused by your baby’s gender. Strange but true: Women pregnant with girls tend to be more forgetful than those moms-to-be who are carrying boys. - Haha yup it's true! I forgot lotsa things.

Braxton Hicks contractions: These practice contractions are most often felt by moms who’ve already gone through a pregnancy. How do you know they’re not the real thing? Even at their most intense, changing your position (from sitting to lying down, from lying down to walking around) will usually make them disappear. - This is happening recently! Cuak jadinye..hahaha

Hmm, my next check up should be next Saturday but I insisted to meet doctor today.

Ok, have to attend my cousins' wedding. Daa~~
We decided to head to the Golden Palm Tree Resort in Gold Coast, Sepang.. a 90 minutes drive from home. How i wish it was Gold Coast, Australia. This is our first time there, prior to the stay, we managed to read some reviews on the resort, despite some negative comments, we decided to proceed. We did an early purchase online where we were given discounted rates for the room.

This particular resort is a bit different from the rest. You're not allowed to park your car in the resort compound, except check-in and check-out. They've allocated a big parking space across the resort, about 200 metres away. Don't worry, they'll pick you up by van to the lobby. Some of us might not like the idea of hopping onto a van, but for me, I can deal with it as you'll be rewarded with a nice clean resort area.
Initially, we booked their Premier Travellers Palm Villa. During check-in, we requested a sea view room but was told that they were fully booked. Seeing my dissapointment, the helpful staff later upgraded us to a sea view Canary Palm Villa. The unit has two rooms and bathrooms. It also has a living hall and two balconies. The roof was made from alang-alang thatch, stepping in to the room, you can already notice it's unique soothing smell. The room was pretty big for two of us, nonetheless, we enjoyed it!
I'm counting my weeks now. Dub dab dub dab! haha. 10 more weeks to see my lil prince!!! Can't wait but my heart thumping too coz can't imagine how's it going to be.

Anyway, my baby progress so far for this week:

Your baby's lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developed. While your baby may soon slow up growing in length (he measures about 15.7 inches / 40 centimetres from crown to toe by now), he will continue to gain weight until he's born.

This week your baby continues to open and shut his eyes. He can probably see what's going on in utero, distinguish light from dark and even track a light source. If you shine a light on your stomach, your baby may move his head to follow the light or even reach out to touch the moving glow. Some researchers think baring your stomach to light stimulates visual development. But don't expect 20/20 vision when your baby is born - newborns can see a distance of only about 8 to 12 inches / 20 to 30 centimetres. (Children with normal vision don't reach 20/20 vision until about age 7 to 9.) To complete the picture, your baby now has eyebrows and eyelashes.

A pint and a half / around a litre of amniotic fluid now surrounds your baby but that volume decreases as he gets bigger and has less room in your uterus. As you and the baby continue to grow, don't be alarmed if you feel breathless, as if you can't get enough air; it's just your uterus pressing against your diaphragm. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. At about 34 weeks (or just before birth, if this is your second or third pregnancy), your baby's head will move down into your pelvis as the baby gets into the right position for birth. That will make breathing and eating a lot easier.

Note: Experts say every baby develops differently - even in utero. These fetal development pages are designed to give a general idea of how a fetus grows in the womb.

About me? Hurmmm....

You've probably gained quite a bit this month - typically 1.4-1.8 kg/3-4 lb. Gaining 450 g/1 lb a week is quite normal during the last three months. Your baby's demands for nutrients are at their greatest in the final pre-birth growth spurt. You may love or loathe your increasing size - either way, remind yourself of 50 reasons why it's great to be pregnant.

Getting a good night's sleep can become more difficult again in the third trimester. As your bump grows, getting and staying comfortable is harder and you may find pressure on your bladder means midnight trips to the loo make an unwelcome but necessary return. Vivid dreams can also affect the quality of your sleep leaving you feeling disturbed or inspired! Don't forget to ask your husband about his dreams, too.

Yeah, recently i had a few weird dreams. Other than that, i had varicose veins also but not at my leg but but inside...at the rectal area...it's called Haemorrhoids. Redha je la kan. Nanti hilang la tu. Maybe pressure from my baby caused it la. Apa lagi, i had swollen feet which i already coped to it. Sleepless night started already because when i wanted to turn my side, it was so painful. i think i need more exercise! Hubby help!!!!

Other than that, i shud be happy! coz my baby is super active. He likes to push his head outwards so that we can belai2 and usap2 his head. hahaha. Super cute!

Oh, btw last weekend we had our Babymoon! We'll story it later. Till then, Enjoice!!!

Source: BabyCenter

This is it — you're two-thirds to the finish line at 28 weeks pregnant, as you enter the third trimester! And what a difference a trimester makes. Gone, most likely, are the days when you could call pregnancy "comfortable" (that is, if you ever did). These days, your baby's kicking (or lack of) is keeping you up at night and worried during the day, your feet are swollen, you're getting tired all over again, and your backache is a pain that just won't quit. And even though he or she hasn't started crying yet, it may seem that your baby's getting on your nerves already — literally. As your baby gets settled into a proper (you hope) position for birth, his or her head (and your enlarging uterus) may rest on the sciatic nerve in the lower part of your spine. And if that happens, you may feel sharp, shooting pain, tingling, or numbness that starts in your buttocks and radiates down the back of your legs — otherwise known as sciatica. The pain of sciatica can be quite intense at times, and though it may pass if your baby shifts positions, it can also linger until you've delivered.

A heating pad, a warm tub, stretches, or just some self-imposed bed rest can help with the discomfort. So can some complementary and alternative therapies.

Brain wave activity measured in a developing fetus shows different sleep cycles, including the rapid eye movement phase, the stage when dreaming occurs.
By now, your baby, who weighs in at about two and a half pounds and stands — or rather lies — at almost 16 inches (measured head to toe) has added blinking to his or her growing bag of tricks. (Outside in the real world, blinking is necessary to help keep foreign objects out of the eyes.) Other impressive new talents being added to your baby's roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking, and, perhaps most important, better breathing. Of course, it's still best if a baby doesn't check out of that uterine hotel just yet — there's still a lot of growing and maturing to do over the next 12 weeks.

I can't imagine those pantang larang that i need to follow very closely in order to make sure i got fully healthy and in shape back. I read this article from Babycenter about Malay Pantang.

New mums in the Malay community generally consider the 44-day confinement period a test of patience. At the same time, a great number of Malay women readily and willingly observe the restrictions and taboos that are part and parcel of this postnatal tradition. It is said that women who diligently follow the traditional Malay confinement practices or pantang will regain their pre-baby figure, their health and energy levels, as well as their looks.

Malay confinement is essentially an all-encompassing process that aims to preserve the health and femininity of Malay women. According to Datin Sharifah Anisah, founder of Nona Roguy (now NR) and author of Ensiklopedia Perbidanan Melayu (Encyclopaedia of Malay Midwifery), confinement practices stem from the belief that the womb is a woman's life force and affects her overall health. Thus, a healthy womb ensures that a woman stay radiant and alluring.

Modern research support the role played by the village midwife (bidan kampung) in the postnatal period and confirm the benefits of some postnatal practices, including massage and avoiding excessive physical activity. Anthropologists explain that Malay postnatal practices are based on centuries-old understanding of four "elements":

soil, which is dry;
fire, which is hot;
air, cold;
water, wet.

These elements must be balanced in the body for a person to enjoy good health.

Midwifery knowledge is also said to be a gift from God to privileged individuals and families, with the intent that they help women from all walks of life. Thus the village midwife is viewed as a gift to the women in the village.

Today, many urban new mothers in the Malay community find themselves unable to fully observe the practices of the traditional confinement, mainly because they lack the family and community support that were taken for granted in village life. Traditionally, a new mum in confinement is helped by:

a bidan (traditional midwife);
a specialised nanny or carer;
her own mother or mother-in-law.

It is widely acknowledged that without someone to help, it would be difficult to fully observe the confinement taboos and practices for all 44 days.

I'm still confuse on Jamu thingy because I'm planning to breastfeed my baby. Where to put my baby? Finding a babysitter is very difficult even child care also difficult at my house area. By the way, which one is better? Babysitter or Child care? I read in Babycenter about these.

Babysitter
A babysitter's work is based in her home - so you need to satisfy yourself completely that the person you choose is worthy of your trust.

There are a number of signs that indicate your babysitter is perfectly capable of caring for your child safely, but first of all you will need to find somebody that you can build a rapport with. Some working parents find that they make good friends with their babysitters because they have views and values in common and, of course, a shared priority of looking after your child.

Look for someone that you can trust and respect. If you harbour doubts, your child will pick up on them and may either become anxious, or try to trade the carer off against you.

How do I find out if the babysitter I like has a good reputation?
An experienced, good babysitter will be able to draw upon many parents, both past and present, who will be happy to give references. Ask for a few telephone numbers and ring them up for an informal chat. You will soon pick up a feeling from them. Take your own first impressions into account, too. Are you comfortable with this person? If you have a toddler or older child, what is your child's reaction? Use your judgement to weigh up your own instincts and get views from previous and existing clients.

I'm worried my child will get a worse deal than my babysitter's children. Is this likely?
It is important to satisfy yourself that your own children will not be treated significantly differently to your babysitter's children. You should talk about this when you meet up, as it is bound to be something that any competent babysitter will have thought about.

You should accept that there will be different levels of familiarity in the household, at least for a little while, until your child becomes part of the family. But you should be able to feel that your child is treated equally from day one when it comes to issues such as discipline, conflict, resolution or attention.

What sort of questions should I ask when I meet her?
Most babysitters begin babysitting when they are mothers with young children of their own. Many of their skills as carers will come from their own experience. It is useful to spend some time talking to any potential babysitter about their approach to certain areas, so that you know that you share common views about important childcare issues.
Here are some questions you could ask:

• What is your approach to discipline? How would you discipline a child? Would the age of the child make any difference? What do you think of as bad behaviour?

• What are your favourite foods for children? What is a typical meal for the children? How often do you allow them to snack, or have sweets and sugary kuih?

• Can you describe a typical day to me?

• What sort of activities do you do with the children? Can I see some examples?

Don't be shy about asking these questions. It may seem impertinent to ask, but you are within your rights to find out how your child will be treated. There are no right or wrong answers, but the best babysitter for you will be the one whose answers closely correspond with your views. A babysitter has a huge influence on the children in their care and you should visit as often as you need, and ask questions until you are satisfied.

What will my child be doing all day?
You will be able to gauge what your child is likely to be doing if you visit a babysitter during the day. You should see signs of plenty of toys and activities. Once your child has started there, she should have lots to talk about and you will soon learn from her what is going on.

Whilst it is important to remember that your babysitter may have young children, as well as household tasks to do, you should feel confident that the children have plenty of opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play.

What is the main quality that a babysitter needs?
Babysitters need to take genuine pleasure in the company of children. Ask your babysitter what brought them to this role and what they most enjoy.

As we all know, caring for children all day is a demanding and tiring job, which should only be done by those who are committed to all aspects of children's emotional, social and intellectual development.

Summing up
You should make sure that your babysitter has the following:

• A good reputation
• An ability to treat their own and other children equally
• A firm but fair attitude
• Plenty of activities on hand for the children
• A clear enjoyment of children
• A clean, safe home

Child Care / Nurseries
A childcare centre (also commonly known as daycare or nursery) is where children are cared for in safe and stimulating surroundings. The number of children attending a childcare centre may vary from small (about 10 to 20 babies and toddlers) to large (about 50 or even more, although this is unusual). The number of qualified staff and the space required to accommodate the children in comfort are variable, depending on your area.

There are several different types of childcare centres:
the workplace daycare (available in some multi-national corporations);
the state-run or charity-run centre;
the privately-run childcare centre;
the centre attached to an independent playschool or preschool.
Standards are variable and it will very much be up to you to do your own research about important factors such as staff qualification, carer-to-child ratio, food safety and hygiene.

When are childcare centres open?
Most centres cater for the children of parents with full-time jobs, and normally stay open from 8am (or earlier) until 6pm. Some will stay open for longer than that. Most centres will close for certain periods during the year. For example, they may close for a number of weeks over the school holidays, and perhaps a week for Chinese New Year or Hari Raya. This means that you will have to take the same holiday, or make alternative arrangements during that time.

How much does a childcare place cost?
Costs depend very much on where you live. Some fees may be subsidised by employers (depending on your employment contract or company policy). If you have more than one child, you will have to pay for both of them, although there are some daycares that offer a second place at a slightly reduced rate.

What will my child do at daycare?
Daycare is all about creating a place where babies and children can play, learn, enjoy meals and rest. There should be opportunities to paint, listen to stories, play music, be creative and enjoy freeplay, where the children can choose what they would like to do.
They will also be able to play with other children, and often there will be outside activity areas. There may be separate rooms for different age groups, partly so that the babies are not disturbed by active toddlers, and also because there are different staffing ratios according to the age of the children.

By necessity, childcare centres all have their own routines, and children (but not babies) are encouraged to conform to it. For example, most centres encourage children to have a sleep after their lunch. However, good daycares will always want to know about a child's routine before starting at the centre, and try to ease the transition.

What can childcare centres offer babies?
Not all centres will take in a young infant. Daycare centres attached to private schools, for example, may not take a child younger than 18 months, or may only take in a child who is steadily toddling or toddler who is already potty trained.

By looking round different local daycare centres, you will get a feel for the one that you think is right for your child.

My bump is getting bigger and bigger. Heavier and heavier. Sometimes i felt my tummy super heavy! There are symptoms that I'm facing now.

Fetal activity: You may be getting used to feeling your baby’s movements in the womb. Cherish these light kicks now before they get more pronounced (and painful) and before your little mover and shaker gets a foot caught in your ribs! >> baby sangat super active! sampai sesak nafas ok!

Hearty appetite: It’s perfectly normal to find yourself wanting to devour the contents of your kitchen cabinets and fridge (you have a growing baby to feed!). So try to stock your home with healthy snacks such as fruit, cut-up veggies, nuts, and whole-wheat crackers. >> haha. Alhamdulillah murah rezeki. Everyday ada jek makanan org bagi. :D

Bloating: If you can’t seem to shake that ate-too-much feeling, you’re experiencing the effects of progesterone. The hormone causes the gastrointestinal tract to relax and slow down digestion, so that the nutrients from the foods you eat have more time to enter your bloodstream and reach your baby. Help keep things moving through your system (and out of your already bulging belly) by drinking plenty of water. >> mmg ada especially lps makan. Rasa cam nk meletop perut ni!

Forgetfulness: Are you consistently forgetting your keys, appointments, and where you parked the car? “Pregnancy brain” is likely caused by those pesky pregnancy hormones — and since it’s completely normal (and temporary), try to laugh it off and refrain from being too hard on yourself. >> haha. ni mmg dh start dari awal lg pelupanye!

Snoring: This fairly common (and annoying) pregnancy symptom can disrupt your sleep and your partner’s. Partly due to nasal congestion (caused by extra weight and swollen mucous membranes in your nose), you can alleviate the nighttime nasal noises by wearing a nasal strip at bedtime and running a warm-mist humidifier in your bedroom. >> Ni tak sure la kan. have to ask hubby.

Tingling hands (carpal tunnel): Swelling during pregnancy can put pressure on nerves in the wrists and cause the aching and tingling associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. If you work at a computer all day, take frequent hand-stretching breaks and make sure your wrists are straight and your elbows aren't higher than your hands when you’re at your desk. >> kakiku bengkak kalo byk berjalan...lain2 alhamdulillah ok.

Bleeding gums: Reduce irritation to your gums (which are swelling more than usual these days due to hormones), by avoiding chewy sweets, brushing and flossing regularly, and visiting the dentist at least once while you’re expecting. >> ni ada gak ni but very rare happen.

Ok la, Happy Saturday! Nak g sopping pasni :)

Source: What To Expect

So far ok la. Better than my frist trimester. Long and dramatic first trimester.

Actually I'm in week 21 or 20 weeks++. About my baby progress.

How your baby's growing

Your baby's putting on weight now and has turned into a slippery little thing - a greasy white substance called vernix caseosa coats the entire body to protect the skin during its long submersion in amniotic fluid. Some babies are still covered with this whitish goo when they're born.

Your baby measures about 6.5 inches/ 16.5 centimeters from crown to rump and is steadily gaining weight. A whitish coat of a slick, fatty substance called vernix caseosa begins to cover your baby and protects the skin during its long immersion in amniotic fluid. It also eases delivery. The baby's swallowing more this week, good practice for the digestive system. After your baby takes in amniotic fluid, his body absorbs the water in the liquid and moves the rest into the large bowel.

I'm happy to see the progress. As of now I already can feel the kicking, the sommersault..sometimes I feel like kene belasah from inside...hahaha

And about me.....

How your life's changing

Out of breath? Most women start to feel a bit like Thomas the Tank Engine, huffing and puffing up a short flight of stairs. Some breathlessness is normal and may get a little worse as your expanding uterus pushes up against your lungs, but tell your doctor if it gets out of hand. Also, make sure you're getting enough iron. Your baby needs it to make red blood cells, among other things. It's almost impossible to get too much from food alone, as long as you're not overeating. Iron-rich foods include lean red meat, poultry, fish, lentils, spinach and iron-fortified cereals. Don't take supplements though, unless they're prescribed by your doctor.

Although pregnancy might sometimes feel like a one-woman show, it doesn't have to be that way. If your husband is going to be your labour partner, he'll want to know how he can help and how he can communicate your wishes to the professionals.

Yeahh...totally feel the breathlessness..especially when my baby does the kick boxing training...and during sleeping time...

About the gender....we've already known the gender since week 14. Based on the Chinese calendar the baby should be GIRL but the prediction is totally wrong!

My baby is baby BOY! That's why he keeps on kicking like football training. :D

Okla....nanti la sambung story mory k.

Enjoice!

YES...yours truly ni dh miscarriage......confirmed on 10th May 2010

Chronology nye camnie....

22nd April 2010
I started felt stomach ache...perut cam masuk angin and bisa sgt2......but I tot it was normal thingy...so I just sapu minyak angin...and off to bed.

23rd April 2010
Still in pain....I took a medicine bcoz ade meeting with potential customer that morning....so I asked my hubby to send me since the place was in KL area and nearby.Had a express breakfast in the car...

Then during the meeting...I was not comfortable becoz of the stomach ache...memule tahan je la sakit but then....makin lama makin sakit...so I excused myself to the ladies....kengkonon nk buang air laa...mana la tau kan angin ke nk kuar...but then I vomitted too....that time my stomach ache even worse....I called my hubby to come over ASAP...I tried to soothe by putting minyak cap kapak...but it didn't work...I went to the meeting room to join them back...luckily they were going to finish the meeting....

Then mase nk turun after the meeting tuh...I felt dizzy and mcm nk vomit lg....at first I tried to control myself...but when we reach Ground Floor and had passed the visitor pass...I can't stand anymore...ask one of them nearest toilet which located on the 1st floor...apa lg...xsempat nk amek visitor pass dah berlari naik g toilet muntah2 lagi....

So..when my hubby reached and fetched me...we directly went to clinic....and told doctor about the stomach pain...Oh btw...early in the morning which around 4am...I went to the toilet and decided to do UPT...at first the line was very fade...so I tot...mmg negative laa..but then dlm kol 7am++ my husband tgk ade double line tu...so we told doctor abt that....and because of not sure....doctor asked to do UPT again....so...I did again it showed POSITIVE! but still the line was fade...but the doctor said I'm confirmed PREGNANT! That time I was about 5++ weeks already....

But doctor advised us if within 2 days I'm still having stomach pain, he asked to seek for Gynae....else...another 3 weeks we can meet up Gynae for Check up....

That day...we were so HAPPY!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, day by day...I'm still ok...but started to feel nausea a bit...no vomitting...only always wanna go to toilet and craving for food!

Sometimes I had stomach pain but not so serious...I can't eat late and go for pee late..else I ended up with stomach pain......

6 weeks gone happily....met my parents on Sunday at one of my cousin wedding at Pulau Meranti, CJ. That nite, we decided to go to clinic to do ultrasound....we went to Klinik Dr Azizah, a normal GP that has ultrasound machine. So, the doctor did the procedure....She said saw something but still too small....and cannot see clearly...she asked us to come again a few weeks later...

After that, we went to Giant to buy groceries....that nite....i started saw a spotting of blood..but I tot it was just normal....

7 weeks
During day time....I'm working as usual and no spotting came out...but at night...here came the spotting....so we decided to seek Gynae for advise...

My condition became worst! I couldn't sit or walk or stand too long....else the bleeding will be heavy...day by day...I only lied down...slept....and rest...

Went to hospital again....ari Jumaat...kene amek darah...for the blood test...every time I kuar jalan jek...confirm balik tu mesti bleeding teruk....

Then...on Saturday ade appointment with my Gynae to see the result...buttttttttttt....bende nk jd kan.....datangkan nak org lab tu buat salah test....so we have to wait....at nite doctor called and asked me to do another blood test...becos my hormone pregnancy increased but a lil bit only...she afraid I might be having ectopic pregnancy.....that nite I kene sakit perut yg teruk.....dh start period pain laa yg mcm nk tercabut perut nie.....I took Ponstan and after a while....ok dah....

The next day....we went again for another blood test...dh bengkak2 tgn ni....smp my BP dropped a lot! and that nite again...period pain yg melampau melanda diriku ini! This time even worst! I dah menangis2 kesakitan sampai kene letak kain panas kt perut to calm me down....after an hour...I'm ok back...

This time mmg dah kuar darah macam period dah....so I felt laa darah2 kuar....kire bole agak la dh miscarriage but the janin x kuar lg....that nite plak ade final game for BPL....watched Chelsea game....bile psl bola ni... I bole lupe diri ni sakit....siap bole jerit2 GOL lagi ok!

Anddddd the best part was....time jerit tu terasa laa cam something kuar...so I tot darah laa kan....so mase half time g la toilet nk tuka pad....sekali haaa...cuak we all.....rupe2 nye janin dah kuar ok! mase tu tatau nak watpe called my mom and she asked to keep aside the janin tu sbb kene tunjuk kt doctor tomorrow nye.....but mmg after that I dh lega dh...xde rase sakit perut......It looks like this but dah kuar laa...

Btw...that was Mother's Day ok! Andddd I was so sad!!!!

10th May 2010
Went to meet my Gynae again....this time we packed our things already...in case confirm terus balik Melaka....so when we told doctor about what had happened and showed her the janin....she confirmed that I'm miscarriage...she told us I had incomplete abortion...and this was 50% the janin decided to keluar......so dengan rasminye saya MISCARRIAGE....:(

We told doctor that I was going to do D&C at Melaka with my dad's fren...a gynae too...so she wrote a referral letter to the doctor....

Btw...I x buat D&C ni since the next day tu doctor tu ckp my womb dh bersih ade leftover sikit jek...so dia buat procedure nama Evacuation....which took a minute tp menyakitkan tak hengat ok! I can't tell u here.....bole terase lg ngilu2 nye....adehhh xde bius ok!

As for now...I dah on pantang for 4 days already after bersih rahim....so far Alhamdulillah with my strength given by Allah...I managed to accept the fact that this is not my rezeki right now...Insya Allah one day Allah will give us better......AminnnnZuLaiShahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02894656690188369676noreply@blogger.com2
