INA vs MAS (Epic Battle) - Must Watch!
Posted by ZuLaiShah in Football on Thursday, November 17, 2011
For Malaysian Football Fanatics, this match can be considered epic and a must-watch game..
Our current scenario..
photo's source: The Star
It doesn't matter how tonight's match ended, Indonesia will definitely move on to the semi-finals with at least 9 points.. As for our team, we only need to draw (total of 8 points) to comfortably advanced and join Indonesia. Yes, there are chances that we might not make it to the semi's, but to our advantage, we will know...should we need to GEAR-UP Habis-habisan.. for the match against Indonesia, since Thailand will play against Singapore first at 5pm today, three hours before our game. Coach Ong Kim Swee has +-1 hour to plan his team's strategies. He might end up playing it safe if we automatically qualified to next round. A move to prevent unnecessary injuries. We have way more important matches to think off.
If we still loose to Indonesia, and Singapore wins, we have to hope that goal difference will be in our favor. In a way, Singapore needs to score as many goals they can (at least 5-0, provided we don't score any goals against INA) if they ever dream to be in the semi's. Which i don't think gonna happen since we all know that Thailand is a strong team. They have lost to us and Indonesia, definitely they would want to fight and preserve some dignity.
My prediction for Semi-Final matches, analyzing the table above, provided if Vietnam wins over Laos even with 1-0, they will be the top team in Group B. Having said that, for Semi's:
Semi-final 1:
Indonesia (1st in Group A) vs Myanmar (2nd in Group B)
Semi-final 2:
Malaysia (2nd in Group A) vs Vietnam (1st in Group B)
Let's not go too far, first we have to beat Indonesia tonight.. Do cheer for our team..
MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!..
Update: 10:30pm - Match day
Results: Vietnam vs Laos : 3 - 1
Singapore vs Thailand : 2 - 0
My prediction was wrong. Singapore won and Malaysia beat Indonesia, 1-0. It means that we are the winner of Group A!. So, for Semi-Finals:
Semi-final 1: 19 November 2011, 5:00pm
Malaysia (1st in Group A) vs Myanmar (2nd in Group B)
Semi-final 2: 19 November 2011, 8:30pm
Indonesia (2nd in Group A) vs Vietnam (1st in Group B)
Congratulations Malaysia!!

Wedding Kiki & My 27 Weeks Pregnancy
Posted by ZuLaiShah in Family/Friends, Pregnancy, Wedding on Tuesday, November 15, 2011
We went to her wedding last Saturday and met my ex-classmates and ex-schoolmates. It was fun! But we cannot stay there for too long as there were lotsa guests attended the ceremony and we need to give the seats to them.
Anyway, we managed to take some pictures before we go off.
This is it — you're two-thirds to the finish line at 28 weeks pregnant, as you enter the third trimester! And what a difference a trimester makes. Gone, most likely, are the days when you could call pregnancy "comfortable" (that is, if you ever did). These days, your baby's kicking (or lack of) is keeping you up at night and worried during the day, your feet are swollen, you're getting tired all over again, and your backache is a pain that just won't quit. And even though he or she hasn't started crying yet, it may seem that your baby's getting on your nerves already — literally. As your baby gets settled into a proper (you hope) position for birth, his or her head (and your enlarging uterus) may rest on the sciatic nerve in the lower part of your spine. And if that happens, you may feel sharp, shooting pain, tingling, or numbness that starts in your buttocks and radiates down the back of your legs — otherwise known as sciatica. The pain of sciatica can be quite intense at times, and though it may pass if your baby shifts positions, it can also linger until you've delivered.
A heating pad, a warm tub, stretches, or just some self-imposed bed rest can help with the discomfort. So can some complementary and alternative therapies.
About my baby, he's actively inside me! Super duper active! Alhamdulillah...
Are you dreaming about your baby? At 28 weeks pregnant, your baby may be dreaming about you, too. Brain wave activity measured in a developing fetus shows different sleep cycles, including the rapid eye movement phase, the stage when dreaming occurs.
By now, your baby, who weighs in at about two and a half pounds and stands — or rather lies — at almost 16 inches (measured head to toe) has added blinking to his or her growing bag of tricks. (Outside in the real world, blinking is necessary to help keep foreign objects out of the eyes.) Other impressive new talents being added to your baby's roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking, and, perhaps most important, better breathing. Of course, it's still best if a baby doesn't check out of that uterine hotel just yet — there's still a lot of growing and maturing to do over the next 12 weeks.

Malay Confinement
Posted by ZuLaiShah in Information/Knowledge, Parenting Hood, Pregnancy on Wednesday, November 09, 2011
I'm not sure how my confinement will become to be. I can't imagine those pantang larang that i need to follow very closely in order to make sure i got fully healthy and in shape back. I read this article from Babycenter about Malay Pantang.
New mums in the Malay community generally consider the 44-day confinement period a test of patience. At the same time, a great number of Malay women readily and willingly observe the restrictions and taboos that are part and parcel of this postnatal tradition. It is said that women who diligently follow the traditional Malay confinement practices or pantang will regain their pre-baby figure, their health and energy levels, as well as their looks.
Malay confinement is essentially an all-encompassing process that aims to preserve the health and femininity of Malay women. According to Datin Sharifah Anisah, founder of Nona Roguy (now NR) and author of Ensiklopedia Perbidanan Melayu (Encyclopaedia of Malay Midwifery), confinement practices stem from the belief that the womb is a woman's life force and affects her overall health. Thus, a healthy womb ensures that a woman stay radiant and alluring.
Modern research support the role played by the village midwife (bidan kampung) in the postnatal period and confirm the benefits of some postnatal practices, including massage and avoiding excessive physical activity. Anthropologists explain that Malay postnatal practices are based on centuries-old understanding of four "elements":
soil, which is dry;
fire, which is hot;
air, cold;
water, wet.
These elements must be balanced in the body for a person to enjoy good health.
Midwifery knowledge is also said to be a gift from God to privileged individuals and families, with the intent that they help women from all walks of life. Thus the village midwife is viewed as a gift to the women in the village.
Today, many urban new mothers in the Malay community find themselves unable to fully observe the practices of the traditional confinement, mainly because they lack the family and community support that were taken for granted in village life. Traditionally, a new mum in confinement is helped by:
a bidan (traditional midwife);
a specialised nanny or carer;
her own mother or mother-in-law.
It is widely acknowledged that without someone to help, it would be difficult to fully observe the confinement taboos and practices for all 44 days.
I'm still confuse on Jamu thingy because I'm planning to breastfeed my baby. Ahhh on another thing is about breastfeeding too!!! Help mommies out there! I hope i could fully breastfeed my baby! I need fully support.
